ROCKY

Rocky is a male, blue and gold macaw who is under 10 years old.  He is a sweet guy who is a bit shy around kids, but our junior volunteers have been working with him to get him over that. (He was kept in an adult household.) He is stick trained will readily step up from there and he does say a few things as well.  This will be a wonderful companion for someone who has the time to bond with him.

T.C.

T.C. is a harlequin macaw about 14 years old.  He (?) is a special needs birds with one leg a bit shorter than the other. We do not know if this was a malformity or an old injury, but he does have a little trouble with stepping up and because of this he is afraid of most strangers at first. Once he learns to trust you, he is very loving and wants lots of attention! So far, we haven't heard say anything, but he can learn!

CRICKET

Cricket is a young scarlet macaw who has seen abuse and neglect which is why she is feather picked.  This is permanent damage and her (?) feathers will not grow back.  She is a sweetie, though a bit shy and nervous.  In the right home she will blossom. She is not aggressive and does talk a little.

ROSSI

Rossi is a mitered conure who is permanently feather-plucked and has a couple of feather cysts as well.  He does not like being handled, but does like attention and maybe, with the right person in his life, would warm up. We do not know his age, but he is probably over 7 years old and has been with us for awhile.
