RESIDENTAL PROGRAM

RESIDENT FEES UPDATE PAGE

Due to the rising cost of fuel and supplies we will be raising the resident boarding fees for 2012. We will still be billing quarterly (Keeps admin fees/headaches down!) and we will be sending out new contracts to be completed and returned by the end of this year. Some of you were planning to pick up your bird(s) at the end of this year and if that is the case, this does not affect you.

NEW FEES

Small birds (conures, quakers, loris, etc) are going from $25.00 per month to $50.00 per month
Medium birds (amazons, greys, umbrella cockatoos, etc.)
are going from $50.00 per month to $75.00 per month
Large birds (macaws and moluccans) are going from $75.00 per month to $100.00 per month

I know it sounds like a lot, but it is still less than $4.00 per day. Included in the price is all food (pellets, nuts and seed, and fresh and cooked veggies and fruit), replacement of chewed, worn perches and toys, socialization and/or out of cage time (when possible), fresh water and daily cleaning of cage. (Birds kept in same cage together are charged as one bird.)

Any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me via email (best way to assure contact with me as I get email on my phone.) Any address changes, please advise.

Resident program is not for people going on vacations.  It is for people who have
to give up ther bird for a long period of time, but do not want it adopted
out to a new family or who plan on reclaiming it at a later date.

To read about the terms and conditions of this program, read the Resident Contract.
Owners must sign an Emergency Medical Power of Attorney
for their bird to participate in this program.

If you are interested, contact us using the information on this page.

As long as you are current on your maintenance fee,
you still own your bird and can take him back home at any time.

Who does this kind of program help?
People who have a job that will keeping them away from home for awhile.
People with small children, who need to wait until they are in school.
People who are remodeling or moving to a new location and need time to get themselves settled.
People who have an illness and need some time to recover.

Picard

Picard is a female, mitred conure and yes...she only has one leg! But that doesn't seem to hold her down. She is a very friendly bird who is starved for some love and attention. Her feather condition is a bit ratty due to neglect, but new ones are emerging and with the great care at the rescue, she should be in great feather condition soon.
