Hi Sandi,
I just wanted to let you know that Twinkie has settled in wonderfully and spends most of her day "worming" around her cage and chirping with the other two budgies, and even our African Grey.
She has an adapted cage with some paper towel covered foam in the base to put her at bar height and make it a little more comfortable for her. She also does play in the happy hut, so thank you for providing that with her! We are going to see if she can learn to use a ladder that has been turned into a ramp to give her another level (a low one) and to help her use up some of that energy of hers!
Thank you for letting us adopt her, and when we are ready to add on to our flock, I will certainly be in touch. :)
Sincerely,
Andrea Partyka |

Dear Sandi,
I hope everything is well at Ollie's Parrot Perch! : ) On December 7th, I will have had Echo for 4 months, and oh, what a wonderful 4 months it has been!
Echo has shown no interest in plucking her feathers as she is spoiled by me and other toys! Haha! Echo is out of her cage most of the day, unless someone is not home. She's a very happy girl and my family and I have enjoyed her very much! Echo can now say her name and she can say "Uh-Oh!" along with "Hello!" She mostly says Uh-Oh when she's in trouble. : ) She also imitates laughter.
Echo enjoys almonds and broccoli! We also got her some brazil nuts, so she can naturally keep her beak nicely trimmed. She also enjoys dried bananas!
Echo got her first vet check-up about 3-4 weeks ago. The vet is very impressed with her health. Her count is normal and he says that she's in good feather condition. I take her to Ankeny Animal and Avian Vet Clinic! : ) They are very nice and know their stuff!
Echo has proven herself to be a very good girl, but I won't say that she hasn't chosen favorites. I am her person. She has warmed up to my dad, finally! And, of course, she gets along with all of us women. Haha! Echo likes to have snuggle time, which you will see in one of the photos. : ) You may put it on your website if you'd like. : )
I just wanted to let you know that things are very well. I can only hope things will get better...and I'm sure they will!
I just want to thank you, again, for everything, Sandi! Echo is a great bird! : ) And we love her very much! She's found her life home and we couldn't be happier.
Much Love,
Echo, Jessica, and the Family : ) |
